All Blacks star Jordie Barrett kicked out of Melbourne Cricket Ground during Black Caps test

The 17-cap All Black fullback was evicted from the MCG on day three of the Black Caps' test against Australia for "bad behaviour". "The 22-year-old and 23-year-old, both New Zealand nationals, have been evicted and have incurred a 24 hour ban from the MCG," a Victoria Police spokeswoman told. Eyewitnesses said security at the ground were escorting people out "who had sculled two or more beers". Barrett was filmed in the MCG stands earlier in the week, wearing an old Black Caps one-day international shirt. Barrett is currently in the rugby offseason, after being part of the All Blacks' World Cup squad that were beaten by England in a disappointing semifinal exit. They ended the tournament in third place after defeating Wales in the bronze match. Barrett had a brush with the law in June last year when police were called to a house in Dunedin after the star ended up in a stranger's house in the early hours after a night out. The 22-year-old brother of Beauden Barrett was discovered by two women in a Dunedin student flat about 5am.

Right now I am really over commuting around Dorkland(aka Auckland). The traffic congestion is just far too much.

I am going to give lower Albert Street a name change. Much along the lines of that movie Nightmare on Elm Street I am thinking much of Albert Street should be renamed Nightmare on Albert Street.

To have the NX1 and the other Shore buses converging on an area with ONLY ONE lane is ridiculous.

I use public transport in the evening to get from my place of work, on the Shore, back to New Lynn. Lower Albert Street especially from say the Shakespeare Tavern to Quay Street is pathetic now.

The awful thing is alot businesses and people using Albert Street are probably fed up to the back teeth with all the delays etc. It's like the so-called CRL is being dragged out too bloody long for many. And we have been told it could go on for another 5 bloody years. How many businesses along Albert Street in particular will go under whilst all that mess is going on????!!!!

The mess that the Auckland CBD has become is off-putting to anyone who thinks a good outing for the day is to go into the Auckland CBD.

The fire at Arena 149 - an indoor field for those who play the shooting game airsoft - on Hepburn Rd in Glendene, was reported at 6.09 am on Friday.
Auckland Council's pollution control team visited the building and found no other issues besides the asbestos.
If inhaled, asbestos particles may cause coughing and phlegm. Asbestos is a proven carcinogen, which can cause cancer after prolonged exposure to large amounts of it.
The fire tore through about 60 per cent of the building, before firefighters managed to contain it to a section of the upper floor. The fire was out by 7.30am.

"There are no strings attached. We don't charge anything," their son, Samrudh Akuthota, adding homeless people are "insanely gracious". "People who have a tough year and feel shy, we would love to have them along." The couple first opened Satya on Hobson street, next to the City Mission. The restaurants can now be found in Mt Eden, Great North Road, Sandringham Rd, Karangahape Rd and Ponsonby. The pair began offering the homeless free meals on Christmas Day during the 2011 recession and it has since become an annual event. The food offered includes butter chicken, chickpea curry, papadam, lamb rogan josh, rice, paratha bread, yogurt raitha dip and tamarind chutney.
