Uplands Kindergarten at Somervell Church

Head Teacher from Uplands Kindergarten

Our beautiful blue budgie Ranginui passed away quietly this week. He was such a wonderful singer, greeted us in the mornings and always participated at mat time. Recently, the children experienced the funeral of Queen Elizabeth and we were able to talk about Rangi passing and have a funeral for him at Uplands. We sang songs and said prayers for him. "He is flying to heaven to see the Queen" said the children.
