U3A Ormiston next meeting
Our next meeting is at 10am on Thursday June 24th at the Flat Bush Old School Hall, corner Murphy's Rd and Flat Bush School Road. Our main speaker will be Kate Senner on her humorous subject "The Torment of Poor Design" while our member Gordon Lawrence will speak on the Orkney and Shetland Islands. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
