Volunteering opportunity and free Guided walks
Otara Lakes and Waterways Trust have just published their activities for Autumn . I need help on 25th March AM to clear Savona reserve of dumped exotic weed and we offer a free Weed Bin for green waste on the day.Next Guided walk is SatAM 18th and Tues pm 21st March 1 hr easy walk. We talk about the restoration work and I can answer questions about Council function when you report a problem.
Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
