Weather Warning: Heavy rain and storms to hit Auckland
MetService has issued a heavy rain warning for Northland, with heavy rain watches in place for Auckland and the Coromandel Peninsula. Strong wind warnings were also issued in all three locations. NIWA is warning that rain and thunderstorms will build by early afternoon, moving across the Auckland region. This could impact traffic and commutes.
