Taurus Reserve playground now open!!
Check out the new Taurus Reserve playground in Beach Haven! The Kaipātiki Local Board formally opened the playground today and it's been a huge success with the kids!
Thanks to everyone for submitting feedback last year on what you'd like to see in the playground. Thanks to the project managers Stephanie Wetmore and Keren Alleyne and the contractors Envirotech Maintenance Ltd and Bespoke Landscape. Thanks also to Matua Shannon Leilua for the blessing today, and to Kaipātiki Community Facilities Trust for the event and sausages!
The new playground includes:
* New play equipment, including swings, tunnel slide, carousel, talking tubes, harmony bell, pull-up bar
* Small basketball court
* Four Square
* Shade sails
* Picnic table
* Drinking fountain
* Wet pour surfacing
* New planting
* Orange/purple colour scheme.
