Our Christmas Mouse Hunt starts today and runs until 22 December - entry forms located in the Christmas Wishing Well in Howick Mall - next to Village Wholefoods Cafe. Two amazing toy hampers to be won. Our mouse will be hiding in two different business windows over the next two weeks. Entries open for 5-12 year olds. Happy hunting!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
