This event has been organised to provide information and networking opportunities for people and organisations who interact and work within our aged-care community.
Come along to connect with others, share accreditation experiences, get help, be inspired by other like-minded people and organisations and promote the work that you do!

TE TIRITI O WAITANGI AND OUR ORGANISATIONS WORKSHOP:
Learn how to practically apply Te Tiriti in your leadership and work.
About the Facilitator:
For ten years, Hilary Star Foged was a member of the NZ and Pacific teaching team for the Unitec programme. She holds a Certificate of Adult Education and a Post-graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management. Hilary facilitates workshops, provides coaching for leaders in the not for profit sector, and is an integral part of the training and leadership courses LEAD offers around the country. She is an experienced and skilled facilitator of Te Tiriti Workshops, exploring with participants both the significance and history of The Treaty of Waitangi, and how to apply its intention and principles in their organisations, as well as how to build relationships and accountability in partnership with Maori.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2
From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).
During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.
There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
