Tutoring - Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English

Grace from Half Moon Bay

Hi! I hope you've been having a great day,

I'm a CIE student at Macleans College going into year 13 next year.

From experience I know how difficult school can get, especially when you go into your senior years at college - it's always useful to get a head start in the holidays and much better to work consistently throughout the year.

I'd like to offer my availability to tutor in the upcoming school holidays and throughout next year in Biology, Chemistry, Physics (Science), Mathematics and English.

I don't have my external grades from 2020 yet, but from my end of year mock exams I achieved;
99 in A level Biology
97 in AS Physics
95 in AS Chemistry
92 in A level Mathematics.
For this I obtained the top grade in all my classes and top in the school for both Biology and Physics.

I achieved all A*'s in my IGCSEs (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Combined Science and English Language) and A's in both AS Biology and Mathematics.

I have in depth notes for all subjects and techniques I've found to be beneficial. I believe understanding the content you're learning well, even though it may take more time is much better than pure rote learning and memorisation. By being able to get all your questions answered as they arise, you'll be able to create fuller pictures of concepts in your mind.

Prices can be negotiated and I'm able to do flexible hours :)

Thank you and I hope to hear from you!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).

During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.

There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
