Tell Auckland Transport to Remove T2/Bus Lane on Pakuranga Road

Simeon from Howick

I've launched a petition calling on Auckland Transport to remove the T2/Bus lane from Pakuranga Road and prioritise the Reeves Road Flyover.

Locals have told me their travel time from Howick to Panmure is taking 40+ minutes some days - an unacceptable amount of time - and it has created confusion around the Gossamer Drive intersection. I support AT's desire to increase public transport usage, but not at the expense of the majority of commuters and certainly not with half-baked solutions like this.

The Eastern Busway and Reeves Road Flyover are projects this community desperately wants, as they will both make a real difference to congestion issues in the area. If you support this view, please sign the petition on my website. simeonbrown.national.org.nz...

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
