Poppy selling volunteers needed
The Howick RSA is on the look out for more volunteers as Anzac Poppy Day draws closer.
On Monday, hundreds of poppies and collection boxes were dropped off to businesses and schools throughout Howick.
The RSA needs volunteers to staff the booths at key collection points in shopping centres.
Volunteers can choose to work any of the two-hour shifts on Friday, April 21, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Those interested can phone the Howick RSA on 09 534 9702 or send an email to admin@howickrsa.co.nz or leave a name and time on the RSA's notice board, in the clubrooms in Wellington Street.
Happy Tuesday neighbours, here's a riddle to get your mind going.
I am beautiful, up in the sky.
I am magical, yet I cannot fly.
To some I bring luck, and to some, I bring riches.
The boy at my end does whatever he wishes.
What am I?
