Onewa Clearway Consultation Results
The results of the Onewa Road Corridor Improvements consultation, including the proposed clearways, are now available.
1,172 people filled out the online form, with many more giving feedback at consultation sessions. A vast majority supported all of the proposals.

Last week Auckland Transport met with the Kaipฤtiki Local Board to discuss the results. The slides from their presentation slides are attached. Note that AT are no longer recommending removing the bus stop opposite Northcote College.
The Local Board will be providing a formal response in July. If work proceeds, it is expected to coincide with resurfacing of the road sometime between December and February.

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? ๐ฐ๐ฒ
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itโs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
