WARNING - From Little Shoal Bay to Kendall Bay:
With the storm yesterday, there are a number of Black No Swim Flags on Auckland beaches on the www.safeswim.org.nz... website, including much of the North Shore coastline. However the black flags at Little Shoal Bay and Kendall Bay (Kauri Point Centennial Park) are due to a known sewage leak in the vicinity of Chelsea Estate Heritage Park/Chelsea Sugar Factory. These warnings will be staying in place until the issue is resolved. So please treat this seriously and stay out of the water along that part of the coastline.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
