Frank's Boat is now open!
What a beautiful morning for the community to come together and celebrate the second life of Frank Larking's playboat!
Thankyou to everyone who has played a part in the boat's journey from the sea to Larking's Landing, including members of the Beach Haven Placemaking Group, Beach Haven Birkdale Residents Association, Birkdale Beach Haven Community Project Inc, Save Frank Larking's Boat, Beach Haven Scout Group, Kaipātiki Local Board, Auckland Council project staff, Stellar Projects, Decker Landscapes and Total Marine Services.
The wait has been worth it. Frank's Boat has been restored, painted, accessorised and is now open for everyone to enjoy.
