The options for doing so are endless! Being kind doesn’t have to cost a thing, after all a smile is free. For those who want to go the extra mile, here’s some other ideas: take a gift over to new neighbours and introduce yourself, build a free community library for your street, buy extra kai at the grocery store to donate to a food bank, bring treats into work for colleagues, send an encouraging text to someone who needs it, let a car into the traffic ahead of you, write positive messages in chalk on sidewalks around your neighbourhood, or surprise loved ones with a visit.

The area of bush that has been planted is behind the tennis club and Watercare reservoirs on the corner of Verran Rd and Waipa St.

The bridges are the last part of the Northcote Safe Cycleway from Northcote Road to Northcote Point, and provide a safer crossing over the motorway. The bridges are the last part of the Northcote Safe Cycleway from Northcote Road to Northcote Point, and provide a safer crossing over the motorway. The bridges will also likley connect into the future Northern Pathway.
The beautiful design is by iwi artist Reuben Kirkwood of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki Iwi.

All these are nice plants, if you don't have pet cats or dogs. We got a kitten from SPCA recently, so have to give them away... These are not safe for pets.

Restaurant Month is back for another year, set to bolster the Auckland culinary scene by offering discounted dishes and unique events for the entire month of August.
Gastronomes can expect 31 days of specially curated menus at the value-for-money price points of $25, $40 or $55+.
Restaurants included span those from the waterfront to the CBD, and from stalwarts such as Euro, Botswana Butchery and Odettes Eatery, to the newcomers and the underdogs.
Viv Beck, Heart of the City chief executive, said this year’s lineup is “more world-class than ever” thanks to the “inspiring lineup of chefs”, some of whom have recently returned to Auckland from stints overseas.
