Shadesails now at Onepoto Domain!
The shadesails are now completed at Onepoto Domain!
These are part of the Kaipatiki Local Board's shade programme to protect children and the equipment from the sun and allow the playgrounds to be used during the day.
The colours of terracotta and dark green have been chosen to blend in with the environment in the Domain.
Thanks to council staff and contractors who pulled out all the stops to get this in before the Summer break!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
