The campaign, headed by New Zealander of the Year Taika Waititi, is enlisting the support of New Zealanders to show zero tolerance for racism.
Auckland is a city that celebrates its multiculturalism. We are a diverse society with 40 per cent of us from overseas. Largely we have embraced this and our children from different ethnic backgrounds go to school, play, grow up, work together and intermarry.
But while we are mainly a harmonious society, racism still exists. It is negative, destructive and seeks to divide and create conflict between usThis campaign calls on all of us to oppose racism at any level and recognise and respect the common humanity we all share.

We are in need of some wonderful volunteers to donate some of their time . There’s a job for everyone .
Work behind the counter, use your Interior Design and Retail skills to present our fab stock at its best or sort our donations as they arrive. Maybe you're drawn to driving or being our 'Fix it person'.
Lastly if you are good with Facebook and Trade me and are willing to give a few hours a week to post and answer questions- ‘we need you' !!!
Our wonderful ReStore staff, look forward to hearing from you.
Please make contact with our great ReStore Manager Kat Pukekohe@habitat.org.nz or phone 09 222 5060.
We’re happy to work in with whatever days and times are best for you !
Come and make some new friends, learn some new skills and really make a difference.
By Volunteering at ReStore you are actively supporting Habitat for Humanity to achieve their vision of giving a 'hand up not a hand out' to hard working families ‘ helping everyone to have a decent place to live’.
