Update on 13 Cresta Avenue and 96 Beach Haven Road, Beach Haven
Last year the proposal to build 72 dwellings across land that is zoned for single houses was quite rightly refused by a hearing panel.
Now the developer has applied for a change to the zoning of the land under Unitary Plan to make it easier to allow their development when they next apply.
It is called Plan Change 99 and is open for public consultation until 17 May 2024.
See here for the documents and how to submit:

Plan Change 99 seeks to:
* rezone approximately 7,147m2 of land, at 13 Cresta Avenue and 96 Beach Haven Road, Beach Haven, from Residential – Single House Zone to Residential – Mixed Housing Urban Zone
* introduce a precinct to both sites which incorporates the Medium Density Residential Standards in accordance with section 77G(1) and Schedule 3A of the Resource Management Act 1991.
