What's On: three part free meditation course with international guest speaker
Don’t miss these three evenings! Popular Brazilian teacher Ashirvad is here in late March on his first NZ visit to share with you his knowledge, his own love of meditation and his decades of personal experience in this structured 3-part course.
His Auckland visit offers a most special opportunity to learn from an inspirational speaker, one who has taught meditation globally for over two decades. Ashirvad learnt meditation from the late Indian spiritual master Sri Chinmoy, and his free courses combine a wealth of practical exercises with many personal insights and experiences.
A marathoner, writer, longtime meditation practitioner and traveller, he has the gift of making meditation accessible and simple, while highlighting the deeper understanding that through meditation we are responding to a deeper, spiritual awakening in our lives. Admission is free throughout.
When: March 21, 23, 24, 7.00pm – 8:30pm
Where: the Fickling Convention Centre, 546 Mt Albert Road, Mt Eden
This is a structured, progressive 3-part course, try to attend all three evenings to gain the most benefit. No admission after the second evening please.

Denim, but make it one-of-a-kind 💙
Not every pair of jeans makes it to the rack... but that doesn’t mean their story ends there. Our talented volunteer Annie has been transforming damaged denim into handcrafted bags, hats and aprons in our Onehunga SPCA Op Shop ✂️🧵
This latest batch even features her own hand-sewn designs, and customers have been loving them, they sell almost as soon as they hit the shelf!
It’s creativity, sustainability and community all stitched together, helping animals in need 🐾
