CHEVIOT VILLAGE MARKET ON THIS WEEKEND
Join us for the Cheviot Village Market on this weekend 5 and 6 April from 10am to 2pm both days. Venue is the Knox Community Centre Hall on Reeves Street (just back off the main street of Cheviot), behind Cheviot's stone church. Nice quality selection of stalls offering locally crafted toys and crocheted accessories, paintings, wooden homewares, pickles, baking, organic super-sized walnuts, clothing, books, art prints, antiques & collectables and more. Plenty of parking close by and No. 8 Cafe just a minute's walk away.
Got more greens than you know what to do with? 🥦🌱🥕
Whether it’s a courgette takeover or a feijoa frenzy, don’t let those garden gems go to waste!
Our suggestion to you: Did you know you can grate and freeze excess courgettes to use in chocolate cake later? It sounds a bit dodgy, but it makes the cake incredibly moist ... and hey, it counts as a serving of veg, right? 🍫

What’s your take? Are we doing enough to look after our backyard? Is it time for a new slogan? 💬
