Laptops for Samoan School
I have collected 4 laptops for Manumalo Baptist School in Apia, Samoa. Thankyou Neighbours. The Principal from the Samoan school will be in CHCH for holiday in early Sept. If there are any other Laptops to 'Pay Forward' to Samoa, please let me know.
My name is Jason Watson. I work in the Canterbury District Health Board. My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Samoa. After Cyclone Gita hit Samoa in February this year, we coordinated the collection, transport and distribution of well over two containers of school/office equipment to Manamolu Baptist School in Apia. The school had four feet of water run through their buildings and much of their equipment was damaged/destroyed.
The equipment we sent over included some old CDHB Laptops, which the school uses to teach the students keyboard skills and basic computing. They have a few, but really want a full compliment so each student in the computer class can use a computer.
Are there any older but still functioning Laptops that need a new home? Even Laptops with Windows XP could be a great help to this school. If you would like to know more, or have an older Laptop to give away, please contact me. Jason 0275844562.
