AMI Driver Reviver (Hurunui River Rest Area) Monday, October 25
AMI's Driver Reviver - a public event to educate Cantabrians on the connection between driver fatigue and motor vehicle accidents - will take place on Labour Day Monday, October 25.
The event is supported by Fire and Emergency New Zealand, New Zealand Police, St John, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, and Hurunui District Council, and will take place at Hurunui River Rest Area, SH1.
All drivers and passengers on the road between 12-4pm are encouraged to stop in for a complimentary snack and drink from the AMI BBQ Trailer, take a rest on a bean bag and visit the activities onsite to learn more about how to curb the effects of driver fatigue, particularly while on long journeys.
Chickenwire needed
Hi. I need about 8 sq metres of chicken wire. If you have some lying around that you don't need, I'm happy to take it off your hands, deliver a boot full of recyclables to the tip or pay a bit for it. Please let me know. Thanks.
Lest we forget...
On this ANZAC Day, let's take a moment to remember and honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
Tell us who are you honouring today. Whether it's a story from the battlefield or a memory of a family member who fought in the war, we'd love you to share your stories below.
