The Amberley tyre pile may finally be cleaned up after a four-year wait and a drawn-out legal battle
The stockpiled tyres at Racecourse Rd, Amberley, have been a contentious issue for the local community since 2016 because of the fire risk they posed.
The matter has since been before the Environment Court, which on Friday ruled that previous enforcement orders had been breached.
Accountability Action spokeswoman Julia McLean says it's now up to the regional council to get the job done now a plan was in place.
A decision on whether ECan has been successful in securing Government funding is expected mid-September.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
