Glamorous tradition to be reinstated at North Canterbury hall after fire
A bit of glamour will return to a small community in North Canterbury now work to rebuild its fire-damaged hall has been completed.
Omihi Hall, used as the Glenmark Rugby clubrooms, was destroyed by a fire nearly four years ago. The hall was rebuilt and reopened last year, allowing the community to reinstate an old tradition.
The community is organising a mid-winter ball on August 17 to help cover the operational costs of the new hall and bring some glitz and glamour to the area.
Christmas Spirit
Went to New World Christmas Eve brought some groceries and as I went to pay a
very kind Lady behind me in the queue reached out and paid for my purchase.
The world still has some wonderful people in it even in these troubled times.
