retaining black rubbish bag collection

Trish from Rangiora

I just want to urge people in the Waimak area that there are advantages of retaining the black rubbish bags as well as the option to have wheelie bins. If you have missed the collection or your bag is too heavy to be collected you can take it to the dump yourself at no charge. Or if you have several that you want to get rid of at once you can do the same. This is not so if there is only wheelie bin collection as in Chch. You can't take any black rubbish bags to the dump there. I, for one, want to retain the independence of being able to dispose of my bags when it suits me.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
