Westport Wharf Silo's
Hello Neighbours. Time has come for our community/district to decide what it is we would like to see happen with the cement silo's. BDC has considered various option's and negotiated with the owners on our behalf to no avail. We as a community need to have our say and input now our elect representatives have walked away from any deal. The silo's remain an iconic part of our town and waterfront and we should consider possible use's and negotiate to retain ownership before they are reduced to rubble. Is it to late, "NO WAY" and would welcome feedback from all camps with the view to calling a public meeting within the next week. Ideas and thoughts, [positive and negative] can be posted on Neighbourly or directed to me at prscafe@xtra.co.nz. Lets make something awesome happen, thats what coaster do. !!!!!!!!
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
