North Canterbury's Omihi School fundraising for a third teacher
A rural school in North Canterbury is trying to raise funds to hire another teacher and keep its class sizes small.
Omihi School located about 67 kilometres north of Christchurch, has jumped from 15 pupils to 35. The Ministry of Education gives it funding for two full-time teachers, but principal Maree Lucas says that is not enough.
