'Shame on you': Does Rangiora have an issue with disabled parking spots?
A North Canterbury woman has been left gutted by an anonymous note criticising her valid use of a mobility permit.
It's the second such note to be left on a Rangiora family's car within two months.
Reality Bites Cafe owner Karl Horwarth says he found the "very upset" woman, who was almost in tears, as he was leaving the cafe last week.
Horwarth, who uses a wheelchair himself, said the woman had a mobility permit for a disability that was not necessarily obvious.
"I had a quick chat to her and told her not to get upset as I get notes like that all the time."
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
