The Waimakariri District Council agreed to invest $1m in Kaiapoi High School's new international-sie court gymnasium.
The gym will become a community-use facility, adding a full-sized court to the stretched court space in North Canterbury, but should the council invest ratepayer money to top up a government funding project?
