We have had way more responses than we expected, so I won't be able to respond to every message right away. But over the coming weeks, we'll aim to be in touch with those we feel we could do a story or some kind of follow up.

What you have got to remember is traffic lights cause slugging of the traffic. You get a big flow of traffic then the lights go red and then there is nothing for about 10-20 seconds then the other apposing Rd starts. Now with the lights up at Mitre 10 there will be times when one Rd is sitting on a red light watching an empty intersection when normally they could go. Then of course the School crossing will cause a build back to South Belt and although the light says Green the road will be blocked. But everyone will still have to wait until that clears then as that happens they will get a red-light. So I just cannot see much improved flow if anything. We’ll still be back up to King St as we were before. There may be a lot still going Townsend/Fernside which relieve the pressure that is until they start on that section and then ???
