The Petone Community Board is made up of 6 elected members & 2 Harbour Ward councillors. The board covers Petone, Moera, Korokoro, Waiwhetu South, Woburn South, Gracefield, and Seaview. We are responsible for representing and acting as an advocate for the interests of our community. We also consider and report on any matter referred to us by Hutt City Council, and any issues of interest to the community board. We make an annual submission to the council on expenditure. We also maintain an overview of services provided by our council within our community. It's also our role to communicate with community organisations and special interest groups in the community, and undertake any other responsibilities delegated by Hutt City Council. We meet every 6 weeks and the meetings are open to the public. They alternate between Moera & Petone.
