Dead or rotting trees?
If you think you have a dead or dying tree near your house, don't wait to get it assessed. It may have been fine in the last few storms, but it will eventually fail as the structural integrity becomes compromised.
Things to watch out for are: limbs that no longer sprout new growth, deformed leaves, cracked bark, movement around the root zone with the lifting of soil, or tip dieback.
If you notice your tree is showing any of these indicators of a tree that may be in decline, get it professionally assessed.
