Rare textile panels on display

A pair of embroidered panels celebrating the presence of the Society of Friends, Quakers, in our region will be on display on Friday and Saturday this weekend. 20th & 21st September. These panels are rarely on public display and a member of the Society will be available to talk about the panels.

The display is part of the Nelson region Embroiderers' Guild open studio at the Adventures in Art event, Pūtangitangi Greenmeadows Centre corner Songer St & Main Rd Stoke. Noon-4pm on Friday 20th and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
