Rotary Annual Charity Book Fair, Northcote College

Bob Lang from Rotary Kaipātiki

Just a big thankyou for all those many people in the community who supported our Rotary Annual Charity Book Fair by donating books, or attended the fair. It was a great succes, the best ever, but it could not have happened without many volunteers who offered to help. Thanks go to Multiple Sclerosis Auckand, for their assistance, and it was pleasing to see the group rewarded with a large cheque from the proceeds. Thanks also go to the suppliers of services, and once again to the local Z service stationson the North Shore that came the party by providing collection points for dropping off of books.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
