Pensions and payments
Another Tuesday and the age pension has gone kerching! into our accounts. It comes from the government of course, but it really comes from the people and the businesses of NZ. I buy whatever I can from the people contributing to my pension - NZ owned shops and businesses, the hard workers and the innovators - sending that cash back into the local economy. I feel good about that. Thanks and hang in there folks, better times are coming.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
