Free History Chat workshop
To cap off the very successful series of activities to commemorate Waitangi Day
2024 after the free day at the Morrinsville Pools and the experience of a day at
Kai-a-te-Mata Marae, you are invited to final workshop in the Morrinsville Rotary Community Centre 43 Canada Street Morrinsville.
At this workshop Gary Thompson, (Ngāti Paoa Ngāti Hauā) will talk about local
history prior to the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Penny Pickett will talk about local history and the development of the township
of Morrinsville after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840.
