Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society - Art & Craft in Action
It’s all happening tomorrow! Come to a ‘Demo Day’ at our rooms, 27a Elizabeth St, Waikanae, 10.00am - 3.00pm to see what we get up to. Groups showing their crafts will be spinning, knitting and crochet, miniature making, painting, Round Tuit (any craft that the group are working on), weaving, felting and embroidery. Our Society welcomes new members who can then belong to any/all of the groups available. Some items for sale - cash only!
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
