Candice from Paraparaumu

Kia ora friends,

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, L'Arche Kapiti in Paraparaumu East is having its first ever Open Day on Sunday 10 September from 11:45-3:00 pm. Drop in for a free sausage sizzle and complimentary tea/coffee. We'll have items for sale as well: cake slices, plants, L'Arche candles, jewelry and more. Bring the kids along for face painting (koha) and a trampoline. We have some beautiful gardens you can check out as well.

L'Arche Kapiti is an intentional community where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life together. We hope to see you there! The address is 5 and 6 Te Aroha Way (formerly Jean Vanier Way), right across from Impact Hub. For more information, contact Candice at 027 307 2477.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
