Whangarei Film Society - Screenings for Thursday June 29th

For Thursday, the 29th June at 6pm we are screening the heart warming Australian film, A Stitch in Time.

Our 8pm screening is Blueback, a film based on the book of the same name by Tim Winton.

Both screenings will be in the Capitaine Bougainville Theatre.

A retired dressmaker, Liebe begins to make clothes for money again after her partner loses his job as a singer in a pub.

In the process of regaining her skills, Liebe attracts the interest of younger designers, who are fascinated with her traditional techniques and use of tulle and sequins. As such, Liebe gains a following and her newfound popularity reignites her passion for her craft and opens a door to a new chapter in her career and life.
