Needing a handy person / helper
Needing a handy person / helper/ extra set of muscles for older person around their property in Crownthorpe (not far from the school). Half a day once a month to get on with some jobs as directed. First job, needed as soon as possible, moving load of car tyres from paddock to front garden. Trailer and wheelbarrow on hand but very useful if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Speaking on Nature
This month Kay Griffiths (The Conservation Company) is coming to talk about Pekapeka/Bats - the NZ Long-tailed Bat in particular. Classed as nationally critical, a colony has recently been discovered in Central Hawkes Bay. Little is known about the colonies in the area so the Department of Conservation and Lotteries are funding research by The Conservation Company.
