Community Facility for Hire (koha)
Hi Neighbours, we have created a lovely community space for art and music in Blockhouse Bay and are offering it for hire at a nominal fee, just to cover our expenses. It's suitable for meetings, music tuition, art workshops etc. We don't take bookings for parties sorry - only small, quiet events. There's a stage with lighting and we can supply a sound system. The floor is sloping, so it isn't suitable for dance classes but ideal for seated audiences and for projecting on to a screen. (Large screen available.) Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
