Yes, indeed, the new HPLC has arrived and is being installed.
A High Performance Liquid Chromatography machine (HPLC) is used as an analytical chemistry tool to separate, identify, and quantify each component in a mixture.
It relies on pumps to pass a pressurised liquid solvent containing the sample mixture through a column filled with a solid adsorbent material.
Each component in the sample interacts slightly differently with the adsorbent material, causing different flow rates for the different components and leading to the separation of the components as they flow out of the column.
We will use the HPLC to ensure our Zestt Wellness products have optimum levels of bioactives in our fruit extracts, before and after processing - essentially, it allows us greater quality control - and greater opportunities for exploration for Darcy - oh dear!
