Oil Painting by Philipp Cantrell (in gilded frame)

Markus from Green Bay

I bought the painting at an estate auction because I love it (and it looks just fantastic), but sadly I can’t keep it.

I don't really want to sell it as I expect prices for art to climb (with the economy badly hurt by the pandemic, stocks very volatile, housing no longer attractive, inflation high, potential war in Europe, etc, what can people invest their money in? Gold and Art). But as the supporting post at the corner of the house we bought has rusted through (as I found when I stripped the paint - see last picture) I need to get some funds for the repairs (and hope the wooden support beam does the job in the meanwhile).

It is an original oil painting in what I think is an impressionist style (I’m a Scientist and never paid much attention to Arts except whether I like something or not, so my apologies if I get the terminology not right) and is signed CANTRELL which I think is a known US painter, Philipp Cantrell.

The painting is approx 50 cm wide and 60 cm high and has a gilded (?) frame around it.

The quality of the painting is outstanding.

Contactless pickup in Green Bay. If you are outside Auckland then maybe a friend of yours in Auckland can do the pickup.

As I work from home anyway I'm home pretty much all the time, so just let me know a time you would like to come round.

I have a whole household and shed to clear - so please have a look at my other listings too!

Price: $299

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
