Changing hours
Our Helensville Citizens Advice Bureau will operate on morning hours from July 5.
Clients are welcome to pop in to see us from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.
“We will talk to anybody about anything,” volunteer and board secretary Rani Timoti says.
“We don’t claim to know all the answers to all the questions, but we can direct people to community organisations, groups or representatives who can help them.”
The popular budget clinic is open by appointment on Tuesdays from 10am to noon covering financial, employment and consumer concerns.
Practical support includes typing up or refreshing your CV, photocopying and providing computer and phone use.
Most days we have a JP on roster or we can access one for you.
Book one of our community window displays for a local event or promotion.
Volunteers enjoy the buzz of helping others as one of the many benefits of working at our CAB office which covers Kumeu to Wellsford.
Come visit us at 27 Commercial Rd, phone: 09 420 7162, email: helensville@cab.org.nz or go to www.cab.org.nz... for more information.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?

82% Community feedback and transparency is needed.

18% No. This would be impossible in practice.
