Fibre - Ashhurst-Bunnythorpe Road
Hi, for well over 5 years Ashhurst Road has had Fibre running all the way down it (connect Bunnythorpe, Hiwinui schools etc). For a long time I have been awaiting the Chorus or ISP websites to update and say its available - still nothing. So I contacted Chorus and to my delight they said yes its available, but its not part of the current UFB rollout - so you need to contact your ISP and log an NGA application (you or your ISP may have to pay some of the install). So I contacted Vodafone (don't go there it took weeks!) last night I got he quote from Chorus - note no one came to my property. Its approx 10 metres from my front lawn (where the fibre lays) and my house. Chorus Estimate was $19,545. Amazes me the Government claim they want all rural NZ on reliable fast Fibre yet - they don't make it easy - even more so when FIbre is running down our road. I have tried ADSL - which was slow and unreliable - I now have Rural 4G which is OK but expensive. I am calling people on the road - have they had similar experiences? Do you know Fibre is available? IF we all rally - we could get a better price? Thank you.

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
