Kāpiti’s mayor has accused airport owners of trying to intimidate his council after they called in the lawyers over discussions about the airport’s future.

Mayor K Gurunathan said the letter was clearly designed to intimidate councillors and comments he made about being prepared to join an occupation of the airport were made in a private capacity.
