Can you give 1 hour this Friday/Saturday
ROLE OF THE WEEK:
An hour can make a world of difference! Blind & Low Vision NZ's (formerly the Blind Foundation) are running their annual fundraising appeal again soon.
Will you give an hour (or two) to hold a donation bucket and collect critical funds to help Kiwis who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision?
When: Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October.
Where: Blenheim central, Springlands, Redwooodtown, or Picton
You are very welcome to volunteer with a friend, family member, or colleague.
Volunteers of any age are welcome to apply but people under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
No skills or experience required; all we need from you is reliability and a smile.
Apply online by clicking the read more button below.
Alternatively, send us a message, call 03 577 9388, email vm@volunteermarlborough.org.nz, or book an appointment online via our main Facebook page.
Poll: Is it rude to talk on the phone on a bus?
Buses can be a relaxing way to get home if you have a seat and enough space. However, it can be off-putting when someone is taking a phone call next to you.
Do you think it's inconsiderate for people to have lengthy phone calls on a bus? Vote in the poll, and add your comments below.
