Fundraiser to build Dutch Windmill on Marshland Road
The Netherlands Society Christchurch wants to build a replica Dutch Windmill on Marshland Rd, outside its clubrooms.
A fundraiser has been set up for the project which can be found here.
The society said even though it would not be an exact replica of a Dutch Windmill, it would represent home.
"It is about leaving a piece of history for future generations."
Donations will be used to transform the current base into a "beautiful on-scale windmill."

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
