"TARANAKI MIDWEEK" MISSED DELIVERIES DOWN OMATA ROAD FOR 3 WEEKS CONTINUOUS THIS JULY/AUGUST 2020!
I've just found out about this 'Home of Football'! I must be missing something - probably because I keep missing my "Midweek" newspaper - I have to chase it up nearly every week, finally got one on Sat. but they missed me for 3 weeks running! SO 'STUFF', CAN YOU PLEASE RECTIFY THIS APALLING STATE OF AFFAIRS?? and its the same for everyone on my ROAD and it means we don't get any Community news at all!! Come on, if you want to be a Real Source of News, and an Advertiser of Commercial/NGO's Products, then you have to get the Distribution sorted AND RELIABLE! And if necessary, PAY MORE TO YOUR DELIVERY PERSONS AS REQUIRED! (We have done this work with our children over the years and we know that the 'pay' is a PITTANCE!)

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.5% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
26.2% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
14.4% ... It is complicated
Electricity Profits
Holy Moses, Contact Energy made a small profit for last 6 months, only 44%
This is just unbelievable, talking about Luxon and his wealthy mates ripping us off in the challenging times.
Why does the government want to put a LEVY on the poor citizen of NZ, mainly to fund the LNG Storage Facility in Taranaki.
