GIVEAWAYS between 8am and 9am tomorrow after the official opening by the Mayor at 8am! Too many freebies to list them all, but we have vouchers from Gus Evans Nursery, Heavens Pizza, Olde Beach Bakery and Super Donut Hero, plus plants, preserves, gift packs, flowers, box of veg, eggs, baking and the list goes on, thanks to the generosity of our lovely stallholders who want to thank you all for supporting us over lockdown and for sticking around waiting for us to re-open. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
